wedding day
Emily and Bennett are the kind of couple that instantly make you smile. They’re outdoorsy, kind, and completely comfortable being themselves together. When they told us they were getting married in Stanley, Idaho, we knew it was going to be something special.
A Sweet (and Slightly Nervous) Groom
One of our favorite parts of the day was watching Bennett before the ceremony. He was a little nervous — the kind of nervous that’s actually really sweet to see. You could tell how much the moment meant to him.
Those moments are always some of our favorites to photograph — they’re real, unfiltered, and full of emotion.

The Sawtooths as a Wedding Backdrop
Their ceremony took place outside of the beautiful Sawtooth Meditation Chapel, a rustic little chapel tucked into the Sawtooth Valley with the towering mountain peaks rising behind it. With the wide open fields, crisp mountain air, and those iconic jagged peaks in the distance, every direction you turn feels like it could be a postcard. If you’re looking for a place to get married in the mountains, Stanley is truly amazing.

Why We Love Weddings Like This
Jen and I absolutely loved photographing this wedding. The people were amazing, the scenery was unreal, and Stanley always feels like a little adventure.
One of the unexpected perks of photographing weddings out there is the drive. Those long road hours back home give us time to decompress, talk through the day, and nerd out about photography, moments, and the photos we’re excited about.
Emily and Bennett’s wedding gave us a lot to talk about.
And we wouldn’t have it any other way.
